Hello everyone, and welcome again to Six Sentence Sunday! Once again my six comes from my newest novel, The Sorceress’s Orc. In this scene, Vervain’s bodyguard is chastising her for coming to his rescue.
“And promise me also that you won’t endanger yourself again for my sake. I’m the one meant to keep you safe, Vervain-naga, lest you have forgotten.”
She shook her head. “I won’t promise that.”
“I know. It’s one of the things I—”
And then someone knocks on the door in a display of horribly bad timing.
