Hello everyone, and welcome again to Six Sentence Sunday! Once again my six comes from my newest novel, The Sorceress’s Orc. In this scene, Vervain’s bodyguard is chastising her for coming to his rescue.
“And promise me also that you won’t endanger yourself again for my sake. I’m the one meant to keep you safe, Vervain-naga, lest you have forgotten.”
She shook her head. “I won’t promise that.”
“I know. It’s one of the things I—”
And then someone knocks on the door in a display of horribly bad timing.
If you’ve enjoyed these little excerpts, you can read the first scene of the novel here. The Sorceress’s Orc is available for only $2.99 for the Kindle, Nook, and other ebook readers, plus there’s a pricier trade paperback version for those who enjoy reading on dead trees.
Sounds like they could rescue each other.
Intriguing!
They are going to be trouble for each other, it appears. I love this book cover!
She’s going to keep him on his toes!
Terrible timing!
Sounds like they both could use a course in rescuing.
Oops. My Bad. Forgot to say that those are getting my hooked. Great six.
Gah! Bad timing indeed!
I like this six – might have to check out the book
Great snippet! Love a strong heroine.
Letting the bodyguards do their job is often the hardest part of being in charge. I like your heroine.

AH! You left us hanging. That’s evil. I should do that next week.
